"Spend any amount of time at Samford University, and it quickly becomes obvious that a good number of the students behind the gates of Lakeshore Drive lean towards the preppy side of the sartorial spectrum.

Boys, make room in your closet amongst the whales and polo players for Brier & Moss, the newest member of the men’s clothing and accessories market.

What is it that makes Brier & Moss unique? Believe it or not, Samford can claim the company’s founders, Nick Barnes and Jonathan Snyder, as two of its own alumni.

Barnes graduated in 2006 and Snyder followed in 2007. They met during fraternity rush week. Both were members of Sigma Chi, where Barnes was Snyder’s big brother.

Upon graduation, Barnes worked in several tech positions before landing a job as a web designer at a record label in Nashville. Snyder headed east to Atlanta, where he worked in the media industry, selling television advertising."
